14th-15th Wilderness Survival Weekend Course                $160-
Staying Alive!  This course is designed for anyone who lives, works or recreates here in the north country, to give him or her the tools & knowledge they will need to stay alive-overnight- in the event they are faced with a survival situation.  Combining lecture and discussion in the comfort of a dry, warm lodge, we will then venture out into the surrounding 1,060 acres, learning navigation, safe travel and other bush skills.  We will then set up different camps to take shelter in for the night, with the idea of learning through direct experience, in the realities of a wet, forested environment in early fall.  Topics covered include: preparedness, avoiding and assessing situations, physiological and psychological requirements of the body, basic survival kits and the proper use of each item in them.  We will be spending the night in the woods, learning to survive!

Saturday Lunch & Dinner, and Sunday Breakfast & Lunch provided.

9am Saturday October 14th to 3pm Sunday October 15th

WORK DAYS, WORK EXCHANGE, VOLUNTEERING


We have a limited number of work exchange & volunteer positions. Those interested should give us a call. From time to time, we host workdays. Send us your email and your interest, and we’ll put you on a list to contact for those dates and tasks! (i.e. flyer distribution, woodchips on trails, and roadside cleanup for our Adopt-A-Roadside Program.)
